Lightweight cryptographic algorithms are specially designed to provide robust security for resource-constrained IoT devices. Unlike traditional cryptography, they require minimal processing power, memory, and energy, making them ideal for sensors, RFID tags, and embedded systems. These algorithms ensure secure data transmission, authentication, and confidentiality without overburdening limited hardware. Popular examples include PRESENT, SPECK, and SIMON, which balance security and efficiency. As IoT networks expand, lightweight cryptography becomes essential to protect sensitive information and maintain system integrity against cyber threats. Their adaptability and low computational cost make them a cornerstone of secure, scalable, and sustainable IoT deployments worldwide.

Lightweight cryptographic algorithms are essential for securing IoT devices, which often have limited processing power, memory, and battery life. These algorithms, such as PRESENT, SPECK, and SIMON, are designed to deliver strong encryption with minimal computational overhead. They provide confidentiality, integrity, and authentication without draining device resources. Their low hardware footprint makes them ideal for embedded sensors, smart wearables, and wireless networks. By balancing security with efficiency, lightweight cryptography helps protect sensitive data in environments where traditional encryption methods are too resource-intensive. As IoT adoption grows, robust lightweight cryptographic solutions are critical for maintaining secure and resilient networks.
